Go "On The Hunt" and Help us Get Rid of the Dinosaurs!

Virginia Stage Company has been operating in the “Vista-age” of technology.  Over the past year, we have noticed a few dinosaurs lurking around and could use your help replacing them. 

The “Theatricalsaurus Rex” is drawn to our outdated technology.  Virginia Stage’s only hope is your contribution and the aid of Norfolk’s resident Dino-Hunter, Nigel Tufftebottom, (Ryan Clemens).

Did you know that almost 40 minutes a day are wasted by the average employee using outdated technology? (stats via information-age.com) Or that older computers are no longer protected against viruses and malware? Malware like the "Theatricalsaurus Rex!"!!

Does Your Dog Dream of Being a Star?

We’re searching for a real-life canine companion to star as Toto in Virginia Stage Company’s upcoming production of The Wiz on March 18 from 12-2PM at the historic Wells Theatre. No previous acting experience required!

So ease on down to the Wells, bring your puppy pal filled with courage, wisdom, and heart and see if they have the chops to star on the Wells Theatre stage.

Please come with your furry friend prepared to perform their best trick! Dog should be able to come when called to a stranger on stage, and return backstage to handler (owner). Our directors are looking for a warm-hearted, fun-loving, and energetic dog that has a special bond with his/her handler. Remember heart, courage, and wisdom!

Appointments are not required, any dogs who join us will be seen, and no breed of dogs will be turned away...we’re an equal opportunity employer here!

Actual availability TBD. Hours will be limited until Tech week. 
April 5 - 9  | Tech rehearsals. Limited daytime hours may be required.  *
April 10 - 30  | Performances (Please note that there are 7-8 performances per week)
