Virginia Stage Company celebrates forty years with a dramatic reading of the first play produced at the Wells Theatre, Relatively Speaking. More than 250 plays and musicals have graced the Wells stage in that time, but this timeless Alan Ayckbourn comedy about two couples of different generations holds a special place.

Steve Rankinwho played the fiery young lover Greg in the first production, returns to Norfolk to tackle the more *ahem* experienced gentleman, Philip. Come join in the celebration of what Virginia Stage has accomplished over nearly half a century and look forward to what is next.

All tickets just $40, in celebration of our 40 years!

Louise Seger

is happy to return to Virginia Stage, where she played Prudie in Pump Boys & Dinettes many years ago. She is excited to play Louise again in this show, after playing Patsy in several productions.  Her 40-year career includes opera, theatre, recital, symphony, and cabaret stages, in roles such as Madame Thenardier (Les Mis), Truvy (Steel Magnolias), Mrs. Potts (Beauty & the Beast), Fairy Godmother (Cinderella), Adelaide (Guys & Dolls), Aldonza (Man of La Mancha), and Ursula (Little Mermaid). Linda recently received the Southern California Desert Star award as Outstanding Actress for her work as Florence Foster Jenkins (Souvenir, Coyote Stage, Palm Springs). Trained as an opera singer, she made her debut in Israel with Leonard Bernstein as Cunegonde (Candide), and toured Europe as Carlotta (Phantom). Her latest opera frolic was as The Witch (Hansel & Gretel). Regional: Actors Theatre of Louisville, Barter Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Riverside (FL) Theatre, Aspen Music Festival, La Mirada (CA) Theatre, Flat Rock Playhouse. For my brother Jason - irrepressible, irresistible, irreplaceable. Never forgotten.
