“Please sir, I want some more.”
Oliver Twist
We are proud to partner with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore during Oliver Twist by collecting donations of nonperishable food to ease the pain of food insecurity in our community as a part of our #ARTwithaTWIST competition for a cause! The Foodbank has been leading the effort to eliminate hunger since 1981, and we are honored to have the chance to lend a hand.
During the opening weekend of Oliver Twist (October 28-30) bring 5 nonperishable food items to the TCC's Roper Performing Arts Center and go home with a limited edition, signed, and numbered print of a local artist's Twist-inspired artwork. Leading up to Opening Night, be sure to keep your eyes on our social media accounts for your chance to vote for your favorite artists.
Last week, Marketing Manager, Carlin Becker, and Resident Theatre Artist and Dramaturg, Kat Martin, visited the Foodbank in the heart of Norfolk at 800 Tidewater Drive. Take a look at their photos and be sure to follow #ARTwithaTWIST and #OLIVERwithaTWIST for more updates.
This is not the only way to do your part in the fight against hunger. For more information and volunteer opportunities with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore please visit their website.
