The first in our conversations, this panel will be led by Terrance Afer-Anderson, this virtual conversation discusses the long history of Black theatre in Hampton Roads from the colonial period, through the creation of the Attucks Theatre, while highlighting current artists and movements active today. Participants include Terrance Afer-Anderson of The TerraVizion Entertainment Network and former Chair of the Norfolk Commission of the Arts and Humanities and Hampton Roads, artists Rod Suitor, Michael LaMelle, Brittney Harris, and Anthony Stockard.
